Role summary

This role is for an enthusiastic and highly organised Ward Administrator to join the Hepatology unit at the Royal Free Hospital. Key responsibilities

  • Liaise with the multidisciplinary team and wider hospital services to ensure efficient bed utilisation and timely patient care.
  • Maintain accurate records to ensure data quality, NHS compliance, and Trust income generation.
  • Proactively manage your workload and contribute to the smooth day-to-day operation of a complex specialist ward.

Essential criteria

  • Demonstrable ability to meet the Trust Values
  • NVQ Level 3 or Equivalent
  • English and Maths at GCSE level or equivalent
  • Courses / further study attended to demonstrate evidence of personal development
  • Experience of working in a public/patient facing role
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to use initiative and problem solve, in a busy clinical environment
  • Typing and data entry skills
  • Good level of computer literacy skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and databases
  • Flexible and adaptable to the changing needs of the service
  • Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
  • Time management and organisational skills
  • Sympathetic attitude to patients and relatives, who may be extremely distressed or anxious
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to people at all levels
