Role summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and forward-thinking Senior Speech and Language Therapist to join the Community Neuro Rehabilitation team. You will provide specialist assessment and evidence-based treatment for adults with acquired communication and swallowing disorders arising from long-term neurological conditions. The role involves leading and supervising junior staff, participating in service evaluations, and managing a complex caseload autonomously. You will work in outpatient clinics and domiciliary settings, collaborating with the inpatient SLT service to ensure seamless transitions of care.
Essential criteria
- Degree in Speech and Language Therapy or Equivalent
- Registered with HCPC
- Knowledge and Training
- Good knowledge of IT software packages eg word, excel
- Post graduate experience and knowledge of SLT assessments and treatment of neurological patients
- Robust knowledge of best practice and clinical guidelines

- Relevant experience at postgraduate level
- Experience of working in an MDT
- Experience of supervising and appraising staff
- Experience of working in the community
- Communication & relationship skills
