Role summary
This is a development role for a Band 5 Podiatrist, with the potential to progress to a Band 6 role within twelve months upon successful completion of training. The post holder will assess and treat a wide range of podiatric conditions, manage their own caseload, and collaborate with acute services. The role involves developing individualised care plans and providing specialist advice to patients.
Key responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, develop, and implement individualised care programmes for a caseload of patients with complex podiatry presentations.
- Be a source of expertise for ECCH's integrated Podiatry service, facilitating efficient patient care pathways.
- Develop individualised care and treatment programmes with suitable progression in line with patient expectation and ability.
- Ensure effective communication to enable patients to achieve their maximum potential for self-management.
- Work with Clinical Leads to further develop the Podiatry service in line with evidence-based clinical best practice.
- Maintain accurate records of all patient consultations and related work.
Essential criteria
- HCPC Registration
- Podiatry Degree or equivalent.
- Local Analgesia Administration Certificate.
- Evidence of CPD Portfolio.
- Knowledge of NHS Podiatry practice is essential
- Observational/Student Placement within NHS is essential.
- Candidates must possess good verbal and written communication skills, as they will be dealing with predominantly elderly patients, and also other health care professionals.
- Candidates must have good organizational skills, as they will be managing their own caseload and also expected to accept responsibility for the day-to-day running of the clinics in which they work.
- Candidates must have the ability to travel as they will be working in more than one location.
- Candidates must be able to produce document implement and evaluate care plans.
- Willingness and ability to work across different sites and travel to alternative sites and across the community as required.

Job summary
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Podiatrist to join our dynamic team. The role is a development role, leading to a Band 6 Podiatrist role on successful completion of the required training, and development of relevant skills ,within a twelve month period of being in post. The role will involve timely assessment and treatment of a wide range of conditions utilising specialist skill sets and provision of specialist advice. It also involves collaborative working with Acute Services including James Paget University Hospital, and Norfolk and Norwich Hospital
Main duties of the job
The post will be based in a clinical setting and the postholder will carry and be responsible for their own caseload. They will assess, diagnose, develop and implement individualised care programmes for a caseload of patients who have complex podiatry presentations including acute and chronic pain patterns; significant physical impairments due to pain or injury and psychological issues and maintain own records as an autonomous practitioner.
The postholder will work with the Clinical Leads to further develop, in line with evidence-based clinical best practice, ECCH's integrated Podiatry Service.
