Role summary
This role is for an enthusiastic and motivated Band 7 Specialist Neurology Dietitian to provide expert nutritional care to patients with complex neurological conditions. You will manage a varied caseload, conducting nutritional assessments and developing individualised care plans. The position involves working closely with a multidisciplinary team within one of the largest neuroscience centres in the UK, focusing on patient-centred care and service development. It's a fixed-term opportunity to develop advanced clinical skills in a specialist area.
Essential criteria
- State registration with HCPC
- BSc degree or Post Grad/MSc in dietetics
Desirable criteria
- Member of BDA
- Higher degree in nutrition related topic
- Post registration in nutrition support
- Knowledge, skills
- High level of knowledge in relevant clinical area
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and work in MDT
- Ability to develop individualist nutrition car plans
- Experience of obtaining accurate anthropometric measurements
- Reflective practice and portfolio development skills
- High level of expertise in Nutrition support
- Computer literate
- Experience of student educator / supervision
- Ability to travel to other sites as required
- Ability to interpret and analyse statistical data
- Evidence of CPD activities
- Member of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition Group for dietitians

Due to maternity leave. we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Band 7 Specialist Neurology Dietitian to join our wider Neurosciences dietetic team, providing expert nutritional care to patients with complex neurological conditions.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop advanced clinical skills within a specialist area, working closely with the wider MDT to provide patient centred care. You will manage a varied and rewarding caseload, providing specialist assessment and treatment for patients across a range of conditions.

Salford is home to the Manchester Centre for Clinical Neurosciences (MCCN), one of the largest neuroscience centres in the UK, providing specialist and tertiary services to patients across Greater Manchester and beyond. This offers a unique opportunity to develop advanced clinical expertise while working alongside leading specialists within a well-established neurosciences network.
