Role summary
This role is for an experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join the Integrated Mental Health & Substance Misuse Team at HMP Isle of Wight. You will provide evidence-based interventions, manage a caseload, and undertake assessments and reviews using the Care Programme Approach. The position involves working collaboratively with individuals, carers, and other professionals to deliver effective mental health and substance misuse services within a prison environment. You will support service users from initial assessment through to discharge, including transfers to other providers, and contribute to their rehabilitation.
Essential criteria
- Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council Register.
- Evidence of recent CPD and compliance with NMC revalidation.
- Teaching Certificate including annual update (ENB 603) or related mentoring / coaching qualification
- Considerable experience of working in the mental health field.
- Experience of providing specialist interventions for those with mental health problems, counselling techniques, CBT, motivational interviewing.
- Providing supervision and line management of staff.
- Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council Register.
