Role summary
This role is for an approachable and flexible Facilities Supervisor to join the team in Bridlington. The supervisor will be responsible for the professional development and training of Facilities Staff, ensuring standards are maintained, and managing rotas and leave. They will also handle initial HR issues for direct reports and manage domestic stock orders. The position requires a willingness to learn and develop skills.
Key responsibilities
- Responsible for the professional development and ongoing training of Facilities Staff.
- Ensure standards set by the Facilities Manager are maintained.
- Carry out departmental rotas and ensure all shifts are covered.
- Conduct annual appraisals, accurately complete timesheets, and record/authorise leave.
- Handle initial level HR related issues for direct reporting staff.
- Ensure all domestic stock is ordered and delivered for wards and departments.
Essential criteria
- Effective communication skills - verbal & written Computer literate - knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Good interpersonal skills Good organisational skills, Good time management, Able to work under pressure
- Ability to delegate effectively
- Handle numerous diverse tasks simultaneously
- Ability to use initiative
- Ability to prioritise own and others workloads
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent qualification (which should include Maths and English)
- Health and safety awareness
- Willingness to undertake any qualifications deemed appropriate to the post
Desirable criteria
- BICS (British Institute of Cleaning Science) Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
- Health and Safety Train the trainer
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Cleaning & Support Services/Customer Care/Health & Social

The working pattern for this role is as and when needed on a rota basis however the working hours will be between 6:30am-8pm.
There may be a requirement to cover other sites (Scarborough and Malton) however the base of the role is Bridlington.
Main duties of the job
The main duties include:
- Responsible for the professional development of Facilities Staff across the site.
- Arrange training of new and existing Facilities members of staff on anongoing basis.
- Responsible for ensuring standards set by the Facilities Manager aremaintained.
- Responsible for carrying out departmental rotas and ensuring all shifts arecovered.
- To ensure all designated staff receive an annual appraisal, timesheets areaccurately completed as well as recording and authorising annual andspecial leave.
- Responsible for carrying out the Return-to-Work
