Role summary
King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking qualified Band 5 Paediatric Staff Nurses for Toni & Guy Ward, a 15-bedded general paediatric inpatient ward that also serves as a shared care centre for oncology and a tertiary centre for Cystic Fibrosis and Haemoglobinopathies. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop paediatric nursing skills within a specialist tertiary centre, caring for children and young people with diverse conditions. The successful candidate will work as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, providing clinical care, assessing and evaluating nursing care, and administering medications.

- Paediatric Registered Nurse with active UK NMC registration at time of starting appointment
- Knowledge and Experience
- Awareness and understanding of current acute health issues
- Understanding of NMC Code of Professional Conduct

- Skills and Competencies
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing situations
- Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members
- Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal)
- Proficiency in dispensing and administrating oral & IV medication

- Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure excellent patient outcomes and experiences.
