Key responsibilities
- Ensure organisational values and principles are translated into service philosophy and operational policy, aligning with Trust policies and procedures.
- Establish, develop, and review policies, practices, and procedures to meet legislative and Trust requirements.
- Contribute to strategy and clinical governance plans for the service area and directorate, leading specific projects.
- Facilitate an environment where service users' physical, emotional, health, social, educational, cultural, and spiritual needs are met, focusing on safe, caring, responsive, effective, and well-led service delivery.
- Oversee building and grounds maintenance, ensuring safe systems of work and adherence to health and safety protocols.
Essential criteria
- A registered mental health practitioner with a degree in nursing, social work or occupational therapy or equivalent experience.
- Post qualification work in core profession. Experience of manging clinical practice at band 6.
- Specialist clinical knowledge of medical and psychiatric conditions, diagnosis, treatment and care including contraindications and side effects to medications, relevant to health speciality.
