Role summary

This role is for an enthusiastic and adaptable mental health practitioner to join the Liaison Psychiatry Service. The successful candidate will provide specialist biopsychosocial assessments for working age adults and older adults, and also for children and young people presenting to emergency departments with mental health needs. It involves working at the interface of mental and physical healthcare within acute trust hospitals, contributing to service improvement and future models of care. The post holder will work in a 24/7 roster, including out of hours.

  • Possess acquired specialist knowledge of bio psychosocial assessment.
  • Substantial post registration experience
  • Have specialist knowledge of a broad range of psychiatric conditions and a desire to improve their knowledge of the management and treatment relating to CAMHS, working age and older persons.

Job summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic, adaptable and patient-centred mental health practitioner to join our Liaison Psychiatry Service. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the interface of mental and physical healthcare, supporting patients across the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust

The successful candidate will provide specialist biopsychosocial assessments for working age adults and older adults in the acute trust hospital. The role currently includes assessments for children and young people presenting to the emergency departments with mental health needs.
