Role summary

This role is for an enthusiastic and motivated administrator to join the Central area Continuing Health Care Team. The post holder will provide comprehensive administrative support, acting as the primary contact for referrals and enquiries. Key duties include managing diaries, organizing meetings, preparing papers, taking minutes, and collating reports. The administrator will also ensure confidential and professional communication with all stakeholders to support high-quality service delivery.

Essential criteria

  • Sufficient experience in a busy NHS office environment
  • Understanding of the discharge planning process and Continuing Healthcare Framework
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Access, Excel (including formulae), Word, PowerPoint and Publisher to enable the creation of databases, tables, graphs, presentations

Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced administrator to work within theCentral area Continuing Health Care Team. The post holder will provide full administrative support, to act as first point of contact for all referrals/enquiries to the CHC Team. To manage diaries resolving conflicting diary appointments, organize meetings, prepare meeting papers and take minutes of meetings, to source and provide information when required, to include report collation. Ensure that all communications with members of the public, staff and any other agency are handled confidentiality and professionally, in order to aid the delivery of a high quality service. Demonstrate excellent and advanced communication skills on confidential issues such as disputes or complaints, when dealing with telephone calls/correspondence from members of the public, Health Professionals, Local Authorities and non - NHS organizations.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Main duties of the job

To assist the CHC Team Administrator in all aspect of administration relating to NHS Continuing Health Care (CHC), Funded Registered Nursing Care (FNC) discharge from hospital and delayed transfers of care
