Role summary
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Band 7 Therapeutic Radiographer to join the OUH Radiotherapy Centre in Swindon. You will lead a team of radiographers, coordinate clinical operations, and deliver high-quality radiotherapy treatment using advanced techniques. The role involves managing patient caseloads, supporting team development, and contributing to service improvements. The centre is equipped with cutting-edge technology and offers professional development opportunities.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of radiographers (3-4 staff) and coordinate day-to-day clinical operations of the CT scanner or designated treatment machine.
- Manage a caseload of patients, ensuring accurate and consistent planning and treatment.
- Work on a rotational basis through both pre-treatment and treatment.
- Support and train team members to maintain and develop professional and personal skills and standards.
- Provide expert advice on pre-treatment/treatment procedures and treatment related side effects and their management to patients and their carers.
- Liaise with other disciplines to ensure total coverage in all aspects of patient care.
