Role summary
This is an excellent opportunity for an innovative and motivated physiotherapist to join the Critical Care and Surgery Physiotherapy team at Doncaster Royal Infirmary on a 12-month fixed-term basis. The role involves managing your own caseload, delivering high-quality care to complex patient groups, and supporting the development of other team members. You will provide specialist knowledge and services to critically ill patients and those pre and post-surgery, including reviewing unwell patients on wards and liaising with staff. The position also includes involvement in audit, staff supervision, and service improvement.
Essential criteria
- Experience as a Band 5 Physiotherapist in a range of areas including relevant experience in the specific clinical specialty
- Experience of working as part of a physiotherapy and multidisciplinary team
- Experience of networking within physiotherapy and in the wider Health & Social Care community
- Experience in clinical audit, research and effectiveness
- Clinical education and development of physiotherapy staff and other members of the MDT
Desirable criteria
- Involvement in physiotherapy projects/working groups.
- Qualifications & Training
- Diploma/Degree in physiotherapy
- Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council
- Understanding and knowledge of clinical governance issues within own clinical practice and wider implications for delivery of patient services
- Portfolio evidence of reflective practice, relevant experience and CPD
- IT skills
- In date and Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
- Personal Attributes & Skills
- Good communication and listening skills with an understanding of the needs of people with disabilities and their carers
- Presentation skills
- Ability to work in collaboration with others and positively influence or coach others in development of skills and knowledge
- Able to present information, both written and verbally, in a clear accurate and logical manner.

Job summary
We have an excellent opportunity for an innovative and motivated physiotherapist to join our established Critical Care and Surgery Physiotherapy team at Doncaster Royal Infirmary on a 12-month, fixed-term basis.
