Role summary
The Delivery Suite Manager will be an expert in planning, assessing, and delivering care within the intrapartum setting, demonstrating strong clinical leadership. This role ensures high standards of safe, effective, personalised, and evidence-based care on the Delivery Suite. Responsibilities include effective management of staff, finances, and resources, as well as monitoring and improving standards to adhere to policies.

Job summary
The Delivery Suite Manager should be an expert in the planning, assessment, and delivery of care within the intrapartum setting (both high and low risk) and have proven strong clinical leadership skills. The post holder will ensure the delivery of a high standard of safe, effective, personalised and evidence-based care on Delivery Suite. You will achieve this through effective management of staff, finances, and resources and efficient monitoring and improvement of standards - ensuring all local and national policies are adhered to.
Main duties of the job
Takes managerial and professional responsibility and accountability for the effective management and development of areas of responsibility on a shift basis.
Manages Delivery Suite complaints, developing, implementing and reviewing action plans to improve practice and service delivery.
Empower and support Band 7 Delivery Suite Coordinators to undertake their roles effectively through mentoring, professional development and delegation of appropriate managerial responsibilities. Ensure clear accountability, regular feedback and ongoing support to facilitate leadership growth and operational excellence.
