Role summary

This is an opportunity for a dynamic, experienced Chartered Physiotherapist to work as a Specialist Practitioner in Primary Care within Denbighshire. The role involves working as an autonomous clinical specialist, providing first contact physiotherapy within an extended scope of practice. The successful candidate will work closely with GPs and other clinical staff, with support and training provided. The service encourages improvement and offers a career pathway to Band 8A.

Essential criteria

  • BSc / Grad Dip Physiotherapy
  • HCPC registered
  • Obtained/ working towards MSc in appropriate subject

Job summary

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, experienced and capable Chartered Physiotherapist with a flexible approach to undertake the role of Physiotherapist Specialist practitioner working in Primary Care. The vacant post is within Denbighshire cluster areas.

The post holder will be expected to work as an autonomous clinical specialist practitioner, with an extended scope of physiotherapy practice to be first contact physiotherapist working within primary care.

Support and appropriate training will be available to the successful candidate. The post holder will work closely with GP's, ANP's and other clinical staff within the GP surgeries along with the CMATS's staff within the Central IHC of Betsi Cadwaladr University health Board.

The physiotherapy service in BCUHB offers a whole career pathway to Band 8A as a clinical advanced practitioner. Service improvement and development is encouraged and all staff have access to regular supervision and training.
