Role summary
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated neonatal nurse to join the Neonatal Unit at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. The unit is a spacious 26-cot facility providing care across Intensive Care, High Dependency, Special Care, and Transitional Care. You will work within a highly skilled, multidisciplinary team committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate, family-centred care. The role involves delivering evidence-based neonatal care, supporting babies and families, and contributing to quality improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver safe, evidence-based neonatal care in line with national and local guidelines.
- Support babies and families across a range of neonatal care settings.
- Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers, actively involving them in care.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to quality improvement and governance.
- Participate in education, training and service development.
