Role summary

This part-time Administrator role involves working 18 hours over three evenings, supporting nursing staff in triaging and planning patient visits. You will handle calls from patients, families, and other services, assisting registered nurses with visit allocation. The role also includes leading the admin team, supporting their learning, managing rosters, and helping with the transition to new IT systems. It requires a committed, motivated individual with good communication skills and a flexible approach.

Key responsibilities

  • Support nursing staff in triaging and planning patient visits, maintaining privacy and dignity.
  • Take calls directly from patients, families, and other services (Ambulance, GP out of hours, discharging hospitals).
  • Assist Registered nurses in allocating visits through IT systems to nurses across the County.
  • Lead the admin team and support their learning.
  • Support the service with transitioning to new IT systems.
  • Support the admin team rosters.

  • Knowledge of office procedures.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Understanding of the Data Protection Act and NHS Code of Confidentiality.
  • Educated to academic Level 3 (e.g.: A-Level, NVQ3, OCR/RSA3, City and Guilds 3) in a Business/ Administration related subject or Educated to academic Level 2 (e.g. GCSE Grade A-C) with considerable recent NHS administrative experience and will be expected to undertake the relevant level 3 qualification on appointment to post.
  • I understand that I will be asked to provide original certificates to verify my qualifications at point of offer.
  • Recent, relevant Administrative/Secretarial experience (usually demonstrated by a minimum of 2 years experience).
  • Willingness to commit to continuing professional development.
  • Professional manner as a representative of the Trust.
  • Tact and discretion for dealing with confidential information.
  • Ability to meet the travel requirements of the role.

working with a team of admin supports within the Countywide Evening and night

hub at Droitwich Health Centre. With a potential move to Worcester in the

future.

We are looking

for candidates with good communication skills, a flexible approach and

enthusiasm to work within the team. You

should be a committed, highly motivated and forward-thinking individual who is

a good team player.

The successful

candidate will also assist the team to develop and achieve team and

organizational objectives. They will also participate in staff meetings and

training & development activities as necessary to ensure their skills and

knowledge are up to date. The role involves some leadership of the band 2

admins in the team in doing rosters and supporting with learning and

supervision.
