Role summary
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Band 7 Clinical Team Lead to head up a new 6-bedded Female Enhanced Care Unit (ECU). The role involves leading a skilled multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, effective, and compassionate care to women with complex mental health needs. You will be pivotal in recruitment, selection, and development of the clinical team, balancing therapeutic and medical models. The role includes senior Band 7 duty cover on weekends and bank holidays, approximately four weekends per year.
Essential criteria
- Live register or equivalent professional registration relevant to the post
- Full understanding of relevant policy, legislation, drivers and their application to clinical and service areas within community health services , e.g. Mental Capacity Act, Social Inclusion, Safeguarding Adults
- Good IT skills e.g. knowledge of word and excel
Desirable criteria
- Accredited leadership/management qualification or ability to demonstrate these at an advanced level
- Evidence of policy implementation and development
- Knowledge of managing delegated budgets
- Evidence of post -registration professional practice
- Evidence of promoting/supporting active user/carer involvement/participation
- Be able to effectively Chair meetings
- Experience of developing others through education, mentorship, coaching, teaching, assessing, presentations, publishing
- Ability to work across team/organisational boundaries developing and maintaining multiprofessional and multi -agency partnerships

- Able to demonstrate effective communication skills with patients, carers and at all levels of staff/managers in the organisation
- Working knowledge of Trust policies and procedures in order to effectively lead and manage others
- Ability to effectively commute between all various Trust sites

- Able to demonstrate effective communication skills at all levels i.e. strategically and locally

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Band 7 Clinical Team Lead to head up our new Female Enhanced Care Unit (ECU ). This is a key leadership role where you will support a skilled multidisciplinary team and play an important part in delivering safe, effective, and compassionate care to women with complex mental health needs as part of our new women's pathway.
Our Female ECU will provide specialist care for women experiencing acute and complex mental health. The unit supports patients who require enhanced engagement, intensive therapeutic input, and a structured environment to support recovery.
Main duties of the job
We are committed to providing care that is safe, trauma-informed, and person-centred, recognising the unique needs of women within mental health services.
As Clinical Team Lead, you will be pivotal in the recruitment, selection and development of your clinical team.
