The Emergency Department has a 34.5 hour fixed-term Band 3 Emergency Department Assistant post available until 1 January 2027. Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years’ HCSW experience in an acute area.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to undertake training specific to the Emergency Department. As a valued member of the team, the Emergency Department Assistant works closely with both nursing and medical staff within the department. Applicants should be able to work effectively in a busy and sometimes stressful environment, use their initiative, and contribute positively to the wider team. Computer skills would be advantageous.
We are a busy department and see the full spectrum of patients with illness and injury, covering all ages, with approximately 20% being paediatric. We prioritise teaching, have a strong team ethos, and are committed to continued improvement.
