Role summary
The Community Physiotherapy Service at Radcliffe is seeking a motivated Therapy Assistant to join their team. You will assist in delivering treatment to patients in their homes or residential settings, working without direct supervision on tasks delegated by qualified staff. The role involves coordinating, delivering, and evaluating individual patient care, managing an active caseload, and requires travel across the Trust footprint. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential for this community-based position.
Essential criteria
- NVQ Level 3 in a relevant subject or equivalent experience
- Level 1 Literacy and Numeracy (GCSE English and Maths Grade D-G)

- Knowledge, Training & Experience
- Experience of working within a therapeutic environment
- Experience of working within a team
Desirable criteria
- Previous NHS experience in supporting other health care staff and learners
- Commitment to undertaking continuous professional development (CPD)
- Previous community experience as a therapy assistant
- Previous experience of lone working in health care
- Skills & Abilities
- Good communication (written and verbal skills)
- Basic IT skills
- Good organisational skills
- UK driving license with access to vehicle to complete community visits
- Previous experience working with physiotherapy/MDT teams

Job summary
The Community Physiotherapy Service based at Radcliffe are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated person to join our team alongside our experienced Physiotherapy staff.
As a Therapy Assistant, you will be required to assist our team in the delivery of treatment of patients, working in their own homes or in residential settings. You will be working without direct supervision undertaking tasks delegated by qualified staff and will be expected to take an active role in co-ordinating, delivering and evaluating individual patient care.
An ability to travel to different geographical locations across the Trust footprint in line with service needs is essential, and a full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle would be essential for this community role.
Unfortunately, this role does not meet the criteria required to qualify for sponsorship.
Main duties of the job
To implement treatment programmes to patients in the community who have been assessed initially by qualified staff in the community service.
To take responsibility for an active caseload under the direction of the qualified therapy staff. This will include the treatment of patients in their own homes, clinics, residential and nursing care settings, working as a lone worker.
