Role summary

Key responsibilities
- Support the Facilities (Hotel Services) team in delivering housekeeping and linen room services to National Standards.
- Train, supervise, and provide professional guidance to housekeeping and linen room staff.
- Act as a liaison point between ward/departmental managers and the housekeeping service.
- Respond immediately to cleaning requests from the Infection Prevention and Control team.
- Carry out and monitor housekeeping, cleanliness, and service associated semi-skilled duties.
Essential criteria
- Experience of working within a large housekeeping department
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
Desirable criteria
- Previous experience of supervising staff/service delivery
- Ability to lead a team

Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a successful candidate to join our Facilities team within Housekeeping Services at Royal Glamorgan Hospital.
The role of Supervisor will support the Facilities (Hotel Services) team in delivering housekeeping and linen room services to National Standards for Cleaning in NHS Wales, HIW standard 5 and Organisational assisting in developing, maintaining and promoting the highest standards of service delivery and team working practices, supporting the Facilities Unit commitment to the EQMS framework and helping to maintain open, effective communication.
The post holder is responsible for training/supervising and providing professional guidance to housekeeping and linen room staff to ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to. In addition, the Supervisor is responsible for ensuring all staff are appropriately trained.
Main duties of the job
