Role summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a Band 3 Senior Clinical Support Worker to join the friendly team at The Chichester Centre, a Low Secure Mental Health unit. The role involves working with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver therapeutic care, undertake delegated clinical health duties, and record patient information. Key responsibilities
- Work with the multi-disciplinary team to establish and deliver a therapeutic programme of care for clients.
- Undertake a range of delegated clinical health duties in mental health settings.
- Record patients' information.
- Provide and receive information from clients, client representatives and immediate team colleagues.
- Undertake procedures and practices requiring knowledge of health procedures, clinical observations and the Mental Health Act.
- Assess a patient's condition through basic test results, assess comfort, and instigate emergency procedures.
- Plan and organise own day-to-day work tasks and activities.
Essential criteria
- Good general education
- NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience
- Experience of working with mental health needs in a paid or voluntary capacity
- Experience of working collaboratively i.e. with colleagues, wider teams, service users etc
- An understanding of confidentiality

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Forensic Healthcare Service for a full-time Band 3 Senior Clinical Support Worker to join the friendly team at The Chichester Centre, a Low Secure Mental Health unit comprising of three wards, located in Chichester, West Sussex.
Sussex Partnership Forensic Healthcare Services provide a comprehensive service for mentally-disordered patients across the forensic care pathway, both in a secure environment and through case management in the community.
We are looking for a friendly, approachable and hardworking professional with a passion for delivering high quality care. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to effective team working; have excellent communication skills and experience of mental health nursing.
