Role summary
This role is for a Specialist Occupational Therapist within the Neuro therapy team at Warrington Hospital. You will assess and treat stroke patients in hospital, intermediate care, and their own homes. The team is highly experienced and supportive, offering opportunities to develop your knowledge and skills across the stroke pathway. You will work to deliver the best stroke care and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Essential criteria
- clinical experience in stroke rehabilitation
Desirable criteria
- stroke experience in specialist intermediate care and ESD
- Band 6 experience in stroke
- experience in supervising other staff or students
- Bsc in Occupational therapy
- Driving License and use of vehicle for work
- HCPC registration
- Related courses to Neuro therapy
- Student educator course
- Basic leadership course
- skills knowledge and competencies
- knowledge of stroke and stroke rehabilitation
- attendance on introduction to normal movement course

Job summary
The Neuro therapy team is based at Warrington Hospital ,assessing and treating stroke patients both in hospital ,in intermediate care and in their own homes. The team is made up of highly skilled Senior staff with a huge range of experience in stroke care.
Main duties of the job
You will be working within the stroke team who are very experienced ,enthusiastic and driven to deliver the best stroke care to our patients .You will be well supported within the team to ensure that we achieve the best outcomes for our patients. You will have opportunities to further develop your knowledge and skills working alongside the Team. You will be able to gain experience in all areas of the stroke pathway by rotating through the areas.
