Role summary
An experienced Physiotherapist is sought to join the Newport Community Resource Team on a permanent, full-time basis. This integrated team provides community-based services across Newport Borough, including a hospital at home service. The role involves working with individuals to ensure a seamless service in their journey, supported by other Band 6 and Band 7 Physiotherapists.
Key responsibilities
- Work as an experienced Physiotherapist within the Newport Community Resource Team.
- Provide community-based services across the Newport Borough.
- Contribute to the hospital at home service.
- Work with individuals to ensure a seamless service in their journey.
- Collaborate with other Band 6 and Band 7 Physiotherapists within the team.
Essential criteria
- Diploma/Degree in Physiotherapy
- Registered with HCPC
- Specialist training/experience in specialist field to post-grad level or equivalent demonstrable knowledge and experience
- Broad range of clinical experience through a comprehensive rotation program
- Rotation into the speciality
- Experience of participating in and delivery in-service training programmes
- The ability to discuss the clinical reasoning process in the management of routine cases
- Good communication skills both verbal and written
- The ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- The ability to move between sites within the Health Board or patients residences as demanded by the job role
Desirable criteria
- Completion of Clinical Educators Course or equivalent
- Appropriate range of postgrad clinical education
- MCSP
- Evidence of having worked in the UK as a HCPC registered Physio
- Evidence of working unsupervised
- Evidence of participating in or contributing to service development projects
- Awareness of relevant national and local clinical guidelines
- Commitment to research

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Physiotherapist with a wide range of clinical skills to join Newport Community Resource Team on a permanent basis. The team is an integrated one, made up of Therapists, Support Staff and Nursing staff. It is a well-established, friendly, innovative team providing community based services across the Newport Borough.
The CRT provides a hospital at home service and the Physiotherapy role is a vital one in working with individuals to ensure a seamless service in their journey. The successful post holder will be supported by the other Band 6's and Band 7 Physiotherapist within the team.
