Role summary
The Haematology and Blood Transfusion Team at Walsall Manor is seeking a highly motivated Associate Practitioner. This role involves working as part of a team within the Haematology/Transfusion Laboratory, providing specialist/technical support to the Biomedical Scientist team. The post holder will utilise their knowledge and skill base to contribute to the overall 24/7 service provision. The position is based at Walsall Manor Hospital.
Essential criteria
- Vocational NVQ level 3 plus training, experience and knowledge to Diploma or equivalent experience
- Must have a good general education and must be numerate and literate with good command of spoken and written English
- Working as a member of a team
- Experience and good understanding of laboratory techniques/able to perform some complex tests under supervision
Desirable criteria
- Experience and good understanding of Haematology/BT techniques/able to perform some complex tests under supervision
- Flexibility
- Participation in full shift rota.
