Role summary
This role is for an experienced Band 7 Mental Health Nurse to join a specialist Multi-Disciplinary Team at Spring Tide Intensive Treatment Day Service. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality care to young people recovering from Anorexia Nervosa. Key responsibilities include overseeing therapeutic interventions, physical health monitoring, meal supports, and guiding junior staff. The role involves leading unit coordination, specialist nursing assessment, and care planning within a supportive, structured environment.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day coordination of the unit.
- Provide specialist nursing assessment, formulation, and care planning.
- Lead all nursing tasks, including monitoring physical health of young people with severe Anorexia Nervosa.
- Conduct meal supports and care coordination for a small caseload.
- Provide supervision and professional support to relevant colleagues.
- Support service development through service evaluation and audit.
Essential criteria
- Educated to degree/ diploma level with a relevant qualification or equivalent experience.
- Evidence of CPD
- NMC Registration
- Experience of working in Eating Disorders and demonstrable achievement in clinical practice
- Experience of managing staff
- Experience of providing professional support/supervision and motivation of staff
- Ability to provide and receive complex and emotive information with staff, service users, carers and other stakeholders
- An understanding of effective systems for integrated governance and the management of clinical and non- clinical risks.
- Ability to present information clearly.

- Can use constructive criticism and openly seeks to review and reflect on own style and presentation.
- Resilient and self motivated with drive and vision that is able to work on own initiative and manage a range of priorities across competing agendas.
- Demonstrate the ability to work in a participatory way so that shared decision making and conversations around formulation/diagnosis and ongoing care are a collaborative endeavour with the people who access our service.
