  • Demonstrates effective communication, teamwork, professionalism and commitment to Trust Values and CPD
  • Application Evidence - Demonstrates ability to respond effectively to engineering emergencies, service failures and major incidents whilst remaining calm under pressure
  • Application Evidence Demonstrates strong commitment to Health & Safety, risk assessment and safe systems of work in high-risk environments
  • Demonstrates initiative, adaptability and resilience when managing competing priorities and working under pressure
  • Experience of working in a commercial or industrial mechanical/ mechanical engineering maintenance environment
  • Experience of working in multidisciplinary teams

Desirable criteria

  • Previous NHS, healthcare or critical infrastructure engineering experience
  • Experience working on steam boilers, pressure vessels, calorifiers or water safety systems
  • Experience using CAFM systems, BMS systems and electronic maintenance records
  • Additional specialist training (HTM Competent Person, Legionella, Health & Safety, supervisory training)
  • Specialist competencies such as Confined Spaces, Legionella Control, PSSR, Steam Systems, HTM Competent Person Ventilation or similar technical accreditation
  • Working with IT based systems
