Role summary
This role is for an experienced Project Manager with a background in construction, engineering, surveying, or design, to lead capital projects within Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust. You will be responsible for the successful delivery of individual capital schemes from feasibility to completion, managing budgets and ensuring projects meet quality standards. The position involves working with clinical and operational teams, external consultants, and contractors across the Trust estate and wider Frimley Health Integrated Care System.
Key responsibilities
- Lead feasibility studies and design development for major and minor capital schemes.
- Develop project briefs collaboratively with end users.
- Lead the delivery of capital projects both on and off site, from inception to completion.
- Monitor and manage project budgets, identifying and addressing financial risks.
- Identify and recommend appropriate procurement routes and prepare tender documentation.
- Manage external design consultants and contractors, administering scheme contracts.
Essential criteria
- Qualification in Architecture, Surveying or Engineering or Qualification in a design construction related discipline
- Excellent project management skills
- Able to simultaneously manage a range of complex tasks and prioritise workload
- Strong negotiating skills
- Numerate and comfortable with budgetary management
- Able to deal effectively with other professional staff
- Able to write clear and concise reports

Job summary

Main duties of the job
You will lead a diverse portfolio of major and minor capital projects across the Trust estate and wider Frimley Health Integrated Care System (ICS). This is a varied role that will see you working closely with clinical and operational teams, Estates and Facilities colleagues, Capital Directors, Estates Managers and CAD Technicians, alongside external consultants, contractors and other key stakeholders.
