Role summary
United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a highly motivated Estates Craftsperson with a mechanical/plumbing bias to join their team at Pilgrim Hospital. The role involves proactive participation in the Estates team to meet Trust objectives safely and efficiently, in compliance with legislation. The successful candidate will contribute to the continuous development plan of the operational Estates Team, aiming to improve the hospital environment for the community. This is an opportunity to learn new skills specific to healthcare plumbing and engineering.
Essential criteria
- oAppropriate City and Guilds Qualification, NVQ3 or equivalent in an Engineering/ Plumbing related discipline
- oServed an apprenticeship or other recognised training.
Desirable criteria
- oFocused training such as Anglian Water Approved Plumber, Air Conditioning or chilled water systems training and experience.
- oAdditional Hospital Engineering related certified training
- Previous Experience (Nature & Level)
- oExperience in the maintenance of mechanical and electrical plant and services and fault finding within a similar organisation or similar size and complexity organisation.
- oExperience of working in a similar organisation or similar size and complexity organisation.
- oAppreciation of other maintenance services
- oExperience of maintenance in a hospital environment. In particular: -
- oAir conditioning, refrigeration, Plate Heat Exchangers, Calorifiers, Water Storage systems, Steam Boilers.
