Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Emergency Department Reception Team. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual with excellent communication skills who can work accurately and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
The post holder will provide a professional, patient-focused reception service, ensuring all patients attending the Emergency Department are registered promptly and correctly. You will handle face-to-face and telephone enquiries from patients, relatives and other departments, and will undertake a range of administrative duties to support the smooth running of the service.
The role requires strong IT skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well as part of a team. You should be able to remain calm under pressure and demonstrate a friendly and approachable manner at all times. You must be able to provide flexibility according to service needs.
Please note there are no full-time day shifts Mon-Fri available. Shift patterns will include afternoons, evenings, nights and weekends.
Previous experience in a hospital reception/admin environment is desirable; however, full training will be provided.
