Role summary
This role involves joining an innovative mental health service within HMP Buckley Hall, focusing on social therapy and social prescribing activities. The successful applicant will help facilitate and develop the 'Arts on Prescription' pathway. An interest in creative arts, particularly music production or performance, is advantageous. The practitioner will also deliver low-intensity psychologically informed interventions for anxiety and depression.
Essential criteria
- Experience of working with offenders or providing community based social prescribing solutions or experience of facilitating activity sessions or therapeutic groups
Desirable criteria
- Foundation Degree) in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
- Experience/ qualification
- Extensive knowledge of Mental Health, Social Care, SMS or younger persons services
- NVQ 3 or equivalent training Qualifications related to Psychological health and /depression /anxiety management or demonstrated experience.
- Experience/ qualification
- Ability to facilitate groups
- A skill in Arts & Crafts - including singing, instrumentation, recording/production engineering and broadcasting or woodwork or similar crafts that can be used in therapeutic activity sessions
