Role summary
This role is for an experienced Clinical Support Worker to join the Inpatient Bank at Cheshire and Wirral Partnership (CWP). You will provide high-quality care to patients across various inpatient units, including Specialist Mental Health, Children and Young People, and Learning Disability Care Groups. The position requires a flexible approach to working across different wards, covering 24/7 shifts including nights and weekends. Essential criteria
- Appropriate Mental Health related NVQ level 2
Desirable criteria
- NVQ qualifications in Health and Social Care or other related disciplines
- Knowledge and Expertise
- Understanding of CWP, inclusive of Mental health and learning disability services and the key role the Trust has within the health economy
- An understanding of confidentiality issues how they relate to mental health policy and practice interventions.
- Sound knowledge of CWP observation policy
- Knowledge of mental health legislation and policies
- Previous experience of providing Care in a structured setting within the field of mental health or learning disabilities
- Experience of working collaboratively i.e. with colleagues, wider teams service users etc
- Previous experience of working with adults with severe mental health or learning disability needs
- Previous experience of working in a healthcare setting
- Personal Skills
- Ability to communicate clearly to service users where there may be some barriers to understanding
- Trust values
- Demonstrate alignment with Trust Values (6 C's: Commitment, Communication, Care, Courage, Compassion, Competency)

Job summary
We are looking for experienced Clinical Support Workers to join CWPs Inpatient Bank.
Clinical Support Workers provide the highest quality of care to our patients whilst they are in hospital. Working on the bank means that you are likely to work in many different areas and with different wards. Bank working is a great place to develop the scope of your existing healthcare experience.
At Cheshire and Wirral Partnership (CWP), The bank covers staffing shortfalls within the trusts inpatient units. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to gain experience in a wide range of specialities within the Specialist Mental Health (SMH), Children and Young People (CAMHS) and Learning Disability (LD) Care Groups.
You must be able to demonstrate an understanding and application of the trust values (6 Cs) in practice, these being Care; Compassion; Competence; Communication; Courage and Commitment.
Main duties of the job
Applicants should have a flexible approach to work and be willing to work across a variety of wards.
Clinical Support Worker shifts cover 24 hours 7 days a week. This includes weekends, nights and Bank Holidays. Most shifts are normally 12 hours and are usually 07.30-20.00 and 19.30-08.00.
