Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Admin Manager to work in the administration team at The Christie at Macclesfield. The role has been developed to work in conjunction with the clinical and managerial teams to manage the day-to-day running of the SACT and haematology scheduling service, radiotherapy planning and admin staff management.The individual will be expected to allocate work lists, support junior members of the team with training and ongoing support and ensure deadlines for coding are met. They will be required to manage staff rotas and annual leave as well as support patient queries and complaints. They will be expected to work closely with the Deputy Centre manager, Centre Manager and Principal Radiotherapist, Senior Sister in SACT and Superintendent Radiotherapists, escalating issues appropriately. The post-holder will have experience of using a range patient administration systems, excellent communication skills, the ability to manage difficult conversations with patients and visitors and exercise good judgement. Good organisational skills are essential, along with the ability to manage a scheduling workload, and experience of supervising a team.The role will include working Monday - Friday with occasional bank holiday cover
