Role summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and dynamic nurse to join the Haematology Day Unit team at Prince Charles Hospital & Royal Glamorgan Hospital. The role involves developing and streamlining the nurse-led Hemochromatosis service for 2-3 days a week, with the remaining time spent on the Haematology day unit. The post holder will support the Haematology Day Unit Manager in delivering a safe and efficient service, providing expert advice and education to staff, and performing audits and incident investigations. The team strives to deliver excellent patient care in a multidisciplinary setting.
Essential criteria
- Possess specialised clinical knowledge of haematological conditions and specialised training in administration of chemotherapy treatments
Desirable criteria
- Welsh Language Speaking & Listening Skills (Level 3 and above/B2)
- Broad experience of clinical specialities in primary or secondary care
- Experience of developing and implementing strategies, policies and protocols
- Qualifications/Knowledge

The position will involve 2/3 days developing and streamlining the nurse led Hemochromatosis service and the remainder of the time on the Haematology day unit.
