Role summary
This role is for an enthusiastic, flexible, and self-motivated Receptionist Cashier to join the friendly Reception Team at Bitterne Health Centre. The successful candidate will provide a welcoming front-of-house service, direct patients and visitors, and manage reception areas. They will also handle telephone and face-to-face enquiries, prioritise their workload, and manage hot desk and consultation room bookings. This position requires someone organised and capable of delivering high-quality support in a busy healthcare environment.
Essential criteria
- GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
Desirable criteria
- Business Admin Diploma Level 3 or equivalent course or experience
- Previous experience in a customer care environment
- Experience of working in a constantly changing environment
- Additional Criteria
- Experience of using NHS IT and Patient administration systems
- Previously worked within a healthcare setting
- Previous experience of handling monies
- Understanding of infection control procedures
- Understanding of the meaning of improving working lives

Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible, and self-motivated person to join our friendly Reception Team at the Bitterne Health Centre.
The successful candidate will have a caring and courteous manner and enjoy working with and meeting people. You will be working within the Estates Team and working in liaison with clinicians, patients and visitors You will need to be resourceful, organised and capable of delivering high quality support to busy services during challenging times
You will work alongside multidisciplinary colleagues, working with clinical colleagues and service managers. You will work as part of the reception team but also autonomously and will be responsible for managing your own workload.
