Role summary
This is a fixed-term Registered Nurse position in the Gynaecology department at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. The role involves caring for patients in a surgical ward, including those up to 12 weeks gestation and oncology patients. Responsibilities include post-operative care, admissions/discharges, basic patient care, and managing various medical procedures. The position is part-time, 18 hours per week, for a duration of one year.

The department is Gynaecology. We are predominantly a surgical ward. We look after pregnant patients up to 12 weeks gestation with various issues as well as oncology patients.
The ward has a mini emergency dept within it. We see emergencies from GP/A&E plus provide some return appointments through this service also.
