Role summary
This role is for a Band 5 Qualified Mental Health Nurse, working full-time 37.5 hours a week, with flexible hours between 9-5 Monday to Friday. Based in the Bromsgrove Neighbourhood Community Mental Health team, the post holder will lead on depot, clozapine, and physical health checks. The role involves administering depot injections, conducting clozapine blood monitoring, and performing physical health clinics. It requires an enthusiastic individual to develop autonomous and leadership skills within a supportive team.
Key responsibilities
- Lead on Clozapine, Depot and physical health clinics.
- Administer depot injections to patients in clinic or community settings.
- Undertake 4 weekly blood monitoring for patients on Clozapine medication, including ordering and continuous monitoring.
- Conduct regular weekly physical health clinics, including bloods, ECGs, height, weight, and BMI checks.
- Report physical health checks to GPs and raise concerns within the team and with GPs.
- Support colleagues on two-person visits as required.
Essential criteria
- Registered NMC Nurse
- One year's experience working with people with mental health (this can be pre-qualification experience)
- Knowledge of current mental health issues
- Knowledge of risk assessment
- Knowledge of Common medications
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English in both verbal and written formats

Job summary
This role is for a Band 5 Qualified Mental Health Nurse for a full time 37.5 hours over 5 days a week (working hours and days can be flexible in the hours of 9-5 Monday to Friday)
The role will be based at the Bromsgrove Neighbourhood Community Mental Health team, which is a growing and dynamic team with a range of multi-disciplinary professionals with a wide range of knowledge and skills to welcome the new applicant for this role into the well establish and friendly team to ensure you feel welcome and empowered to take on a great opportunity within the team.
Do you want to be able to demonstrate and develop your autonomous skills as well as some leadership skills around leading on the depot, clozapine and physical health checks for the team, helping support other staff that can undertake and support in this role, being able to have the oversight of the clinics that are being ran as well as completing them yourself as part of the job role/description.
