Role summary
This role is for a motivated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join the Beverley Community Mental Health Team. You will assess, plan, and deliver person-centred interventions for adults experiencing mental health challenges, both individually and in groups. The position focuses on recovery-focused practice, promoting occupational engagement, independence, and wellbeing. You will also provide consultation and guidance to multidisciplinary team colleagues.
Essential criteria
- Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Registration with the HCPC
- Specialist knowledge of occupational therapy models of practice, standardised assessments, and their use in practice
Desirable criteria
- Willingness to consider undertaking the training required to be a Practice Placements for students.
- Completed preceptorship programme
- Appropriate knowledge/experience of working in the relevant service area
- Understanding of caseload management clinical responsibilities
- Evidence of specialist practice skills and able to demonstrate the impact of this on practice change/development
- Able to demonstrate effective inter-personal/communication skills
- Evidence of good time management skills
- Work within the culture of improving working lives and working time directive
- Working knowledge of Trust policies and procedures.
