Role summary
This role involves providing basic patient care, assisting with procedures, chaperoning, and clerical duties within the busy ENT clinic team. The successful candidate will help organise daily clinic running and ensure high standards of patient care. It requires a motivated and enthusiastic individual committed to improving patient experience.
Key responsibilities
- Supporting/chaperoning patients during procedures and assisting the team where necessary.
- Organisation and running of individual clinics.
- Removal of dressings and some simple dressing under supervision.
- Patient observations, height weight and BMI.
- Ensuring high standards of patient care and experience are met.
Essential criteria
- Numeracy/Literacy skills to Level 1 (GCSE Grade 2-3, D-F or equivalent) IELTS or OETS (Overall score of C1) accepted for overseas applicants (Level 7 in Listening/speaking/reading & Level 6.5 in Writing)
- Care Certificate or must complete within 12 weeks of commencing employment
- NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Care/Equivalent qualification or willing/required to complete if successful (If applicant has 3 years or more care experience this is voluntary).
- 12 months experience in a professional contract as a Healthcare Assistant or equivalent

Job summary
At present, University Hospitals of North Midlands is unable to offer visa sponsorship for Band 2 to Band 4 roles, as these positions do not meet the minimum salary and skill thresholds required under UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) regulations.
In relation to Band 3 Senior Clinical Support Worker roles, we are currently able to recruit successfully from the domestic labour market and have a sufficient pool of suitably qualified and appointable candidates. As a result, visa sponsorship is not available for this role at this time. This position is kept under regular review and may change in the future should labour market conditions or service requirements alter.
Employers should note that visa applications are assessed against the Immigration Rules in force at the time of application. There is no guarantee that roles meeting current eligibility or salary thresholds will continue to do so in future
