Role summary
This role is for a Rotational Children's Occupational Therapist to join an integrated rotation within the Children and Young People's Therapies Team. The rotation offers experience across four specialisms: early years, school-aged children, sensory processing, and home equipment services. It includes a structured training program, peer support, and supervision from experienced clinicians. The position requires working with children and young people from birth to eighteen years in various community settings.

- BSc OT or Dip COT Professional registration with HCP. Member of BAOT/COT or equivalent for professional indemnity. Member of Specialist Section of the College of Occupational Therapy e.g. CYPF Evidence of Post Graduate CPD
- Experience of working in a range of clinical settings to include community and hospital. Evidence of good presentation skills Evidence of supervision of others

- Knowledge of how lack of functional impacts on participation Motivated to learn and evidence of CPD Evidence of successful team working Ability to prioritise and manage own time Approachable nature with the ability to motivate and inspire others Evidence of leadership skills and qualities. Excellent interpersonal skills including delegation of tasks Access to own transport to enable access to a wide variety of community settings.

Are you interested in working with children and young people but are unsure which clinical area you are interested in?
If you are then we invite you to join our new Band 6 Children's integrated rotation. This new rotation will provide you with the opportunity to rotate across 4 areas of specialism: early years, school aged children, sensory processing pathway and home equipment services across health, education and social care.
All the rotations will come with a highly structured training programme, peer support opportunities and supervision from experiences clinicians in each clinical field.
Access to car or ability to travel between county-wide locations is essential.
Main duties of the job
- To practise paediatric occupational therapy at a very competent level across a broad range of duties ensuring that**** competency levels are maintained and improved by continuous professional development.
