Role summary
This role is a pivotal opportunity within the South East Wales Vascular Network, based at the University Hospital of Wales but covering services across the region. The Programme Coordinator will act as a single point of contact for the network, requiring strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Key responsibilities include data management for national audits and supporting service development, leveraging knowledge of IT systems and data manipulation. The post holder will lead initiatives, support clinical research, and promote the network's benefits.
Essential criteria
- Educated to Degree level or equivalent experience.

- A computing qualification e.g. ECDL
- Extensive administrative experience
- Working in a confidential, high pressured environment, planning and delivering high quality work to tight deadlines with attention to detail.
- Experience of establishing and maintaining complex office systems
- Experience of establishing new system pathways
- Working experience of dealing with Board members and/or senior managers understanding necessity to act in a pleasant and courteous manner whilst working effectively with others.
- Experience of managing meeting schedules, minute taking and recording action logs
- Supervisory/management experience
- Awareness of the National Vascular Registry and it's importance
- Knowledge of RTT rules and ability to use RTT databases
- Ability to use WCP and PMS system
- Awareness of Aqua Theatreman theatre system
- Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate well with staff at all levels

- Confident in providing, receiving and dealing with complex, sensitive or confidential information
- Ability to negotiate with a diverse range of people across the whole Health Board and externally considering and overcoming barriers to communication to improve consistency in the understanding of complex information

Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to have a pivotal role within the South East Wales Vascular Network. The role is based at the University Hospital of Wales, but covers Vascular services across South East Wales including Cwm Taff, Aneurin Bevan, South Powys and Cardiff and Vale.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Programme Coordinator to be a single point of contact for the network across multiple professional groups and other hospital sites.
Good communication skills (both written and verbal) are essential and the role also requires the ability to work both independently and with others to inspire trust and confidence.
Knowledge of working in the NHS environment and the use of multiple IT systems is essential. The ability to work across organisational boundaries is an advantage to this post.
