Role summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and motivated Emergency Nurse Practitioner, Urgent Care Practitioner, or Trainee Practitioner to join the Urgent Care CSU team at Leeds General Infirmary and St James' University Hospital. The role involves assessing, diagnosing, treating, and discharging or referring patients with minor injuries independently upon qualification. The successful candidate will complete a recognised Managing Minor Injuries course within 12 months and will work across both LGI and SJUH sites. This position is also open to Allied Health Professionals.

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has opened up for dynamic, motivated and innovative Emergency Nurse Practitioner/Urgent Care Practitioner/Trainee Practitioner to join our team of highly skilled staff within the Urgent Care CSU at Leeds General Infirmary and St James' University Hospital. This position would be suitable for those who wish to further their careers within a hospital environment where clinical roles are rapidly advancing in order to meet the challenges of the new NHS. The successful candidate will be required to complete a recognised Managing Minor Injuries course within the first 12 months in post. Applicants will be expected to assess, diagnose, treat and discharge or refer patients with minor injuries independently upon qualification.

This post is also open to Allied Health Professionals who also wish to work in the Emergency Department setting, who have completed, or are willing to undertake, a course in the Management of Minor Injuries. Applications must be permitted to administer and supply PGDs.

Please be aware this role is cross site between LGI and SJUH.
