Role summary

This role supports the IT Asset Management Team by managing IT hardware assets throughout their lifecycle. Key responsibilities

  • Process IT equipment goods-in and goods-out within the NHS GM warehouse
  • Prepare and dispatch hardware to customer sites
  • Support stock control, including monitoring and replenishing stock levels
  • Coordinate deliveries, collections and disposals of IT equipment
  • Undertake deliveries and collections across Greater Manchester in the NHS GM van.
  • Maintain accurate asset records using our IT Service Management systems

Essential criteria

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification and or relevant experience
  • Full Clean UK Driving License
  • Experience of dealing with customers over the phone
  • Experience of dealing with suppliers over the phone
  • Knowledge of receipting and ordering processes, including stock control, delivery and collection processes
  • Skills for manipulating information, use of a range of software
  • Computer literacy and standard keyboard skills

Desirable criteria

  • Previous experience in a delivery / transportation role
  • Previous experience of operating warehouse equipment, incl. forklift trucks
  • Local knowledge of towns in the Greater Manchester area
  • Some knowledge of IT hardware technologies

An exciting opportunity is available for an IT Logistic Officer to join NHS Greater Manchester Integrated Care (NHS GM) and its forward-thinking IT Asset Management Team. These are exciting times as the department looks to transform its operation to become one of the best performing Asset and Logistics departments within the NHS.

This role is essential in supporting the effective management of IT hardware assets across their full lifecycle. You will help ensure equipment is received, recorded, stored, distributed, and disposed of in a controlled and efficient manner, enabling frontline services to operate effectively.
