Role summary
This role is for a Senior Therapeutic Radiographer at The James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough, within a technically advanced and award-winning radiotherapy department. The successful applicant will contribute to improving patient experiences and outcomes, working as part of a committed multi-disciplinary team. The department utilizes modern equipment and supports continuous professional development, including progression to advanced practitioner level. Applicants should be highly motivated with excellent communication skills.
Essential criteria
- BSc/PgDip/Pre-Reg MSc in Therapeutic Radiography
- HCPC Registration
- Significant experience working as a Therapeutic Radiographer
- Successful completion of preceptorship programme
- Evidence of supervisory / mentoring role
- Knowledge & Skills
- Expert knowledge in treatment planning and delivery
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
- Demonstration of leadership skills
- Qualifications & Training

Job summary
Applications are invited from therapy radiographers who would like to develop their career in a forward thinking, award winning and technically advanced radiotherapy department at The James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough.
Our focus is to continually improve patients' experiences and outcomes and you will be supported by a friendly, committed multi-disciplinary team of staff striving to ensure the delivery of excellence in all aspects of patient care.
We work between two sites within the hospital, having expanded the department following the build of The Endeavour Unit, an award winning state of the art radiotherapy facility.
The department is currently equipped with 6 Elekta Agility machines with IGRT/IMRT capability, which provides scope for our expanding technological and professional development including DIBH with SGRT, stereoscopic 2D imaging, stereotactic body radiotherapy, VMAT treatment delivery and flattening filter free technology.
