Role summary

This role involves providing a high-quality specialist ADHD service to patients and their families across RDASH. The practitioner will conduct comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, and manage treatment for adults with ADHD.   • Hold V300 (Independent Supplementary Prescribing) or actively working towards this.
  • Independent Prescribing Qualification

  • Evidence of extensive post registration learning & development.
  • Previous experience in Clinical Leadership and delivering leadership clinical supervision.
  • Completed UKAAN training with experience as a diagnostician or willing to work towards.
  • Ability to prioritise busy workload/caseload.
  • Use the full range of person-centred alternative and argumentative communication strategies
  • Able to cope with stressful situations and remain positive in the face of clinical pressures
  • Evidence of knowledge pertaining to policy drivers locally and nationally
  • Ability to contribute to development of service delivery

Job summary

To provide a high-quality specialist ADHD service to patients and their families across RDASH services. The post holder will be a prescriber for initiation, titration and ongoing management of ADHD treatment

Main duties of the job

To provide comprehensive expert assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management of Adults with ADHD across the RDASH localities. Review with others the assessment and monitoring of adults identified with ADHD.

Provide direct nursing judgement and treatment interventions based on skills and knowledge regarding clinical management and educational management of adults with ADHD.

Exercise Independent prescribing rights using guidelines and protocols

Ensure that the patient's interests are fully considered within the context of care, actively participating in ethical decision making within the multi-disciplinary team.

Exercise autonomous professional responsibility for the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and discharge of patients.

To undertake risk assessments and risk management for individuals and their families.

To maintain up to date knowledge of legislation, national and local policies and issues in relation to ADHD.

To provide high quality support and advice to health and other professionals
