Role summary

This role is for an Early Years Professional/Teacher to support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the nursery. You will ensure high-quality care and education in line with EYFS and Ofsted requirements. The position involves leading, mentoring, and supporting the nursery team, fostering a positive culture, and collaborating with families and external agencies to support child development. You will also help prepare the nursery for Ofsted inspections.

Job summary

Must be at least a level 3 qualified in a UK recognised early years qualification with a recognised level 5 early years qualification/ teacher status.

Youll be responsible for supporting the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS, Ofsted requirements, and the nurserys policies and procedures.

Youll play a large part in helping to lead, mentor, and support the nursery team , promoting a positive, collaborative, and professional culture while ensuring staff development and performance are maintained to a high standard.

Youll help the manager to collaborate with a range of individuals, building strong, trusting relationships with families and external agencies, supporting each childs development and wellbeing, and ensuring the nursery is always prepared for Ofsted inspections.

Excellent understanding of EYFS.

Extensive knowledge of safeguarding children.

Have experience at managing day care settings with knowledge of all Ofsted Welfare Requirements for children and inspection procedures

Youll have experience supporting team members to achieve good outcomes of Ofsted inspections, Quality Assurance Schemes, Local Authority initiatives.
