Role summary
This role is for a passionate and dynamic CAMHS Practitioner, such as a Clinical Psychologist, Mental Health Nurse, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, or Psychotherapist. You will join an established Tier 3 CAMHS Treatment Team to provide assessment, care coordination, and therapeutic interventions for children, young people, and their families. The position offers opportunities to facilitate groups, develop specialist clinical skills, and contribute to innovative service delivery within a supportive multidisciplinary environment.
Essential criteria
- oQualification as a Core professional
- oRegistered with the BABCP or UKCP or relevant professional body
- Experience of receiving clinical supervision across a range of client needs.
- oExperience of CAMHS review and intervention for clients with a range of psychological needs of a complex nature including neurodevelopmental conditions (A/I)
- oExperience that supports working with, and addressing issues of, diversity within local communities. This may have been gained through work, research, volunteering and / or lived experience. (A/I)
- oExperience of developing and carrying out research projects. (A/I)
- oKnowledge of CAMHS assessment.
- oKnowledge of legislation in relation to the client group and mental health issues, child and adult protection, and equalities.
- o Knowledge of factors affecting acceptability and accessibility of mental health care. .

Job summary

Main duties of the job
Undertake assessments and provide evidence-based interventions for children and young people with a range of mental health difficulties. Hold a caseload and provide care coordination where required. Work collaboratively with families, schools and partner agencies to support positive outcomes. Deliver individual and group interventions as part of a multidisciplinary CAMHS team. Contribute to risk assessment, safeguarding, and the ongoing development of the service.
