Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced, enthusiastic and highly motivated Staff Nurses to join our dynamic team working across the Neonatal Service on both permanent and fixed term contracts. The Neonatal Unit has 12 cots, caring for Intensive Care, High Dependency and Special Care babies from 27 weeks gestation and 4 Transitional Care cots based on the Maternity Ward. Thepost holder ideally should be qualified in paediatrics and have knowledge of neonatal care The post holder will be required to work across the Neonatal service covering both areas and may occasionally have to work on the paediatric wards. The role is challenging and demanding and you will require a flexible and proactive approach to develop your existing skills in a new environment.

Collaborative working within the wider multi-disciplinary team is essential therefore you require excellent communication skills and a proven ability to work on your initiative as part of a wider team. The post provides opportunities for training and development to further advance your skills and career.

The Neonatal Unit provide care for babies who are sick and/or premature who require intensive, high dependency, special or transitional care.
