Role summary
This role is for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Physiotherapist to join the Ellesmere Port and Neston Community Response Hubs, covering Cheshire West and Chester. You will work autonomously in a community setting, providing care and support to service users in their homes. Applicants must be HCPC registered and have experience across various clinical areas as a student or at Band 5 level. Good time management, organisational skills, and the ability to work under pressure are essential.
Key responsibilities
- To work as an autonomous practitioner to perform therapeutic assessment of patients with diverse presentations.
- To communicate empathetically with patients with complex clinical presentation, explaining their clinical diagnosis and treatment programmes.
- To use clinical reasoning to provide a diagnosis and develop, deliver and adapt individualised treatment programmes.
- To contribute to monitoring and evaluation of treatment in order to measure progress and outcomes to ensure effectiveness of interventions and service delivery.
Essential criteria
- Degree in Physiotherapy
- HCPC Registered
- Evidence of a range of clinical placement areas at student level
- Evidence of CPD and reflective practice
- Evidence of group working and team working
- Evidence of audit and/or research work
- Communication skills (verbal and nonverbal)
- Ability to reflect and critically appraise own performance
- Ability to organise and respond to complex information, and work under pressure
- Good computer skills
- Good interpersonal and organisational skills
Desirable criteria
- Membership of professional body
- Knowledge of current best practice in specialist PT area
- Knowledge of the principles of clinical governance
- Understanding of professional ethics and their application in practice
