Role summary
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced clinical healthcare professional to influence and shape community service delivery in a strategic leadership role. The position requires a strong clinical background and proven experience in leading teams, managing services, overseeing budgets, and driving workforce planning. You will work in partnership with clinical leads and managers to lead service transformation, drive innovation, and implement improvements to ensure high-quality community services. Applications from Allied Health Professionals with relevant experience are welcome.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure managed staff undertake all relevant statutory and mandatory training, as well as role-specific competency training and continuing professional development.
- Identify and manage clinical/organisational risks within your area of responsibility through comprehensive risk assessment, action planning, and monitoring.
- Be responsible for appropriate key performance indicators, including workforce and service delivery performance and accountability measures.
- Ensure responsive recruitment processes and facilitate workforce access to health and wellbeing resources to ensure effective recruitment and retention of staff.
Essential criteria
- oLive register or equivalent professional registration relevant to the post
- oPostgraduate degree or equivalent or be able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge or experiential learning/experience in service development, managing change, leading and managing staff, plus specialist training and short courses to Diploma level relevant to area of practice:
- oGood IT skills e.g. knowledge of word and excel
- oEvidence of project work that has had a positive impact on service delivery
- o Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD) relevant to the service area
- Proven leadership/management experience, able to demonstrate examples of positive impact/change within service delivery/practice at an advanced level
- oAble to demonstrate effective communication skills with patients, carers and at all levels of staff/managers in the organisation
Desirable criteria
- oAccredited leadership/management qualification or ability to demonstrate these at an advanced level
- oKnowledge of managing delegated budgets
- Experience of developing others through education, mentorship, coaching, teaching, assessing, presentations
- A breadth of professional practice including specialising in the field where the post is held
