Role summary
This is a development opportunity for an Emergency Department nurse with a passion for emergency nursing and staff development. The role involves supporting and developing nurses within the department, including facilitating training days and competency-based clinical education. The post holder will work clinically and be involved in delivering accredited Emergency Care courses. Flexible working and self-rostering are available, with occasional weekend and late shifts required.

- Recognised Emergency Care course
- Hold a professional registration Teaching and Assessing Qualification and /or Mentorship Qualification
- Evidence of relevant ongoing professional development. Diploma or equivalent
- Degree in related subject or willingness to work towards

- ALS/PILS/ATNC
- Evidence of both professional and personal development
- Substantive experience at band 5 and above working in an - Emergency Department
- Substantial experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team

Job summary
A development opportunity has arisen for an Emergency Department nurse who isahighly motivated individual with a passion for Emergency Nursing and for supporting and developing nurses within the department.
The post holder will be fully supported by the band 7 Clinical Practice Educator and ED Matrons all of whom are responsible for leading the ED nursing Teams across an integrated Children's Emergency Department and an Urgent Treatment Centre.
We also offer training and support for the successful candidate with options of attending personal development courses such as Masters Programmes and Teaching qualifications.
We pride ourselves in providing education and training to all staff within the Emergency Department and run accredited Foundations of Emergency Care and Advanced Emergency Care courses for children and adults of which you will be heavily involved in the delivering and running of.
The post holder will be expected to work clinically as part of the role and therefore must have experience of working in and ED setting and an accredited Emergency Care Course. Please see person specification for further details of required experience and qualifications prior to applying
